This is it. With lots of encouragement and gentle nagging from my supportive husband I have been convinced to start a blog. As a mom who works as a nurse and is also a nurse at home to a child with chronic medical needs life gets messy, complicated and real. Real hard at times, but also incredibly rewarding and unpredictable.
Truth is, I know about as much about blogging as I do about speaking Japanese….”Sayonara” is all I know folks. And I’m hoping I won’tbe saying that on my blog anytime soon. But bottom line, I love to write, I have been told by a few people (my husband and mom if that counts) that I am good at writing and they enjoy reading it. So if I have more than two people who enjoy hearing what I have to say about this crazy chaos called life, then hey, maybe I will be famous to my toddlers.
I just want to write about my life, the things that make me laugh, make me cry and hopefully it crosses paths with your life. I hope to connect with that one mom who feels like she
is the only mom dealing with a child with medical needs, because you are not alone. I plan to write the real raw honest truth about the awesome and literally sometimes shitty moments of motherhood. And write about being a nurse, changing the world one patient at a time, taking long lunch breaks with fellow co-workers in our nurse lounge, leisurely charting during the free time on our day shifts. Im totally kidding, if you read that and thought you would see a blog article about that, well no. Just no. Because that is not real life.
As I jump into the unknown world of blogging, “Be Brave. Be Bold. Be You.” is my mantra.
